After installing KW V1's and rolling my fenders, I have to complete my suspension with rear camber arms and front upper control arms to get my alignment back in spec. I bought eibach kit 5.72050K rear arms. Now I did my research and apparently they have updated the part from previous. What I mean by that, is the arms I received are completely straight, no curve as usually pictured. Which kind of makes me think they sent me toe arms. I wanted to confirm with those that have this kit. So are these the updated arms, or did they send me toe arms, not camber arms? Also, with adjustable camber arms, I'm assuming most are using the lockout kit when it comes to securing the arm to the rear subframe. Any drawbacks? Secondly, I'm in the market for upper control arms. I had my heart set on Z1 performance a-arms, but after some research, there are quite a few 370z owners/350z owners that have the heim joint backing out on them, which worries me. Any input on good A-arms would be appreciated.

 

Those camber arms are fine, SPL & Battle Version are straight.
No negatives to lockout kit, definitely use it.

Any A-Arms should be fine...obviously SPL is best. Z1 is overpriced. Don't get SPC due to weird dual adjustment.

 

The design you have act as camber AND toe arms. Meaning you can buy 2 more and have both camber and toe arms for the rear or you can use what you have for just camber OR toe for the rear.

 

I have seen the V3 SPL UCA's, my only concern is that they are solid bushing instead of rubber, which may sacrifice the ride/noise level, unless you know otherwise.


I appreciate the response, but I am having a hard time understanding, based on where the arm is located. How can it adjust both, when in an OEM setup, the toe bolt is attached to the spring bucket? Unless you mean that the kit includes the eccentric toe bolt kit included into camber arm kit

 

My bad, I was thinking of a different kit. Did yours come with a toe kit (lockout washers, toe bolts, etc)?

 

Z1 are over priced!? 250 for arms vs SPL 700?

 

yes, came with eccentric cams, I would prefer not to drill out the subframe, but unless I go true coilover style, I cant get toe arms, the only option is eccentrics and drilling.

I never said they are overpriced, and I believe you get what you pay for. I am willing to pay for quality. I googled Z1 and recently in this year, multiple people have noted major failures.

Tomek, I have switched to solid bushings for almost everything except my subframe and rear differential...no noise but to each their own!

You don't drill anything using the eccentric lock out kit.

As for SPL - only get it if you want caster adjustability...otherwise yes it is overpriced.

Z1 is overpriced comparing to ebay arms, it's pretty much the same quality. Z1 has some good products, however some is like the general off brand that WalMart/Target offers. Just my opinion.

I had spc front and rear, no problems with them at all. Drlling the hole out is no biggie

 

The rear set you got is a great street kit. The sets i have installed came with toe bolts and lockout washers.

Front arms, kinetic or the new SPC is fine for most people's street needs. If your serious about tracking, then I suggest different arms

 

I have that same kit from tire rack, I haven't gotten around to putting them in yet but they come with eccentric bolts for the coil bucket, and your supposed to use your oem hardware to mount the camber arm..

If you mounted using a lockout bolt kit it would probably be better because the oem eccentric bolt could move and mess up your alignment under stressful driving situations. It most likely won't make a huge difference...

Your correct about the subframe you would need to elongate the holes to use the supplied bolt kit, I am also not wanting to modify my subframe for those bolts so im going to install the camber arms bring it for an alignment and hope for the best...

 

thanks for the input guys, still on the fence on the A-arms, at this point I'm thinking about SPL or SPC ones.

 

I got the Z1 Arms and the quality is superb and their customer service is top notch. Unless youre tracking the car daily, i wouldnt worry about them going bad on you . Just my 2cent

Honestly if money wasnt an issue for OP then SPL is what you want to get .

 

Have you looked at your eibach adjustable rear arms? Mine have SPC stamped all over them... Thanks eibach thought I was getting something from a better company, jokes on me.

 

Yeah, noticed the same thing when they arrived. Haven't heard too many bad things about SPC but I too was expecting better quality/ actual eibach arms.
