03 parking brake line change, issues

Default 03 parking brake line change, issues

Currently trying to swap out the parking break lines because as everyone knows.. the parking brake is terrible, but um this self lock nut is legit stuck at this point..
no clue how to remove the nut at this point, any ideas?

it turns it just doesn't unscrew, still pb blast?

I'm going to cut the bolt off and replace it.
I went under the car today and the cable itself looks to be in great condition, maybe the e brake is just terrible to begin with..

I bought replacement cables to do it while i was down there but its going to be a more difficult job than i thought..

If its not broken don't fix it yet is the motto for now

So.. i PB blasted it and it didnt come undone.. i didnt cut it off because i couldnt find a replacement bolt...
Kinda just stuck at the moment!

The ebrake doesnt do anything the first 6 clicks and then it starts catching the cable..

Any ideas?

Sound weird, but see if you can tighten the bolt, then try to loosen it again

I tried to do it :\ it just spins in its locked location, i dont want to cut it without replacing the bolt but i couldn't find it in 3 hardware stores near me
