Question Install time for S-tune suspension and sways: 12.5 hours!? Really?

I just got quoted by the local Nissan dealership that the install time for the S-tune suspension and sways was 12.5 hours @ $70/hr. Is this true? They said they would have to keep the car for two days? And yet I seem to recall having sneaked a peak at the Nismo catalog saying that this wasn't more than a 4 hour job. What gives? Am I being taken out to the cleaners? They said this includes the alignment too. Input from dealers/vendors or anyone would be helpful.

It took me 4 hours to install my coilovers, and that was done without any power tools and on jack stands. Get to know your car, do it yourself.

With a lift and power tools it shouldn't take them more than 3 hours

That's what I thought. I also seem to recall a local shop saying that they should be able to get them on for ~3 hours.

But will I need an alignment with the install of the S-tune suspension and sways?

You'll need an alignment, but even with that, it shouldn't take near 12 hours.

My husband and I did my S Tune install in about 2 hours, and I did my swap bar install 2 months later in about an hour and a half.

Call Jeff at Performance. He'll tell you the truth.

12 hours seems like a rip to me too.
