Help! 2 Piston rear calipers
Does anyone, ANYONE on this green earth, know where I can purchase a pair of 2 piston floating rear calipers for a 2004 nissan 350z. I have been doing a stupid amount of research, and it's like they don't exist, aside from getting used stock Brembo ones for yesteryear lol. If someone could help me, I would be sosososo appreciative.
Thanks!
Thanks!
It's because they don't exist... the Z only ever came with a single piston rear floating caliper. The fronts were upgraded to 2 piston in 06+ non-brembo but the rears kept the same caliper as 03-05 with just a different bracket to fit a slightly larger rotor. I have no knowledge of any kind of adapter for aftermarket or any style of 2 piston floating calipers to the rear and I assume the work to do so would be largely overshadowed by the ease and availability of the stock fixed 2 piston brembo or the fixed 2 piston akebono rear brake calipers.

But the stock Brembos on the track edition are 2 piston, one on each side; floating, instead of a single piston slide pin caliper...right? So then can you recomend where I can get a Brembo rear caliper?

It's true that not many manufacturers offer a rear monoblock brake caliper kit. Z1 and Brembo will sell you all four corners of a BBK, but getting just the rear calipers just hasn't found a market.
Aha...
The stock non-brembos are what are considered floating since the caliper is attached just along the sliding bolts and the caliper moves during operation. Brembos, Akebonos, and aftermarket BBKs are considered fixed since the caliper is permanently attached and does not move during operation.
Some people prefer the sliding calipers since they tend to have better wheel clearance, specifically for smaller wheels found in the drag crowds.
Check Rockauto, the reman rears are either unbranded brembos or good enough knockoffs, in any case that's your best bet for find rears by themselves.
You may also consider the akebono brakes from the 370z with the adapters
