Front Suspension Upper Link Rot? (Upper Control Arm)
Hello!
When I went to access my stock coilovers to replace them with new ones, I was doing great until until I reached the upper link. The nut and screw there (and I think a front upper ball joint) move together. When trying to screw the nut off, the screw spins with it, and it might be grease that comes out of the upper ball joint, but im not sure.
Has anyone else experienced this? I wasnt able to get it off and just had to resemble the rotor and put my wheels back on. I assume its from age and something is rotting. The solution I came up with was just to cut off the screw in half, take out the old ball joint, screw, and nut, and replace them all. Any advice would help because im just not sure if thats even the smart thing to do. Thanks in advance!
