as the title says .. It does... but you must be careful there is a such thing as TOOO LOW. I got rid of the stock set up for a TRUE Coilovers. I went with the BC BRs and they are awesome!! I may need to raise the back up just a tad.. other than that I am happy with the look, feel and ride.it feels more planted and sharper.

Have a question if you don't mind as i am next to change suspension.
I am still OEM and trying to decide if i should stay with OEM or replace with Bilstein Shock and Struts or move to Coilovers. My car is a daily driver and i don't track at all. Mu concern is that i also have 20" wheels.
Any advice based on your experience will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Definitely better, and a respectable height as well. I wish I went with the extreme low on my BC DS - as I'd like a touch more out of my rear without having to sag the spring.

Bilstein for a street driven car. You do NOT need coilovers despite what everyone says. Unless all you want to do is destroy the ride quality for the sake of low. You can do a good set of springs with the Bilsteins if you want to drop the car.

Thanks for the advice. I don't want to lower my car neither ruin the ride quality as i am happy how it is. I will check that out. They don't feel bad at all, is jus me thinking they will go bad at any moment as they are still OEM.
with the 20" wheels i assume you are at stock height. i think you could go over to a true coil over set up it would make the ride less harsh and you could keep the stock height with adjustment. this is just my thinking.. you could do a good set of springs and be good to go with the bilsteins like MicVelo said..

I mean, I get it. You like that low/slammed look. To each their own. But, the same thing can be accomplished with air ride and you're not scraping every time there's a small dip in the road.

I get into discussions on Reddit all the time about it, I'll share some of the popular responses:
1. The car handles like it's on rails and is as comfy as stock
2. You can get coilovers for the same price as dampers/springs
3. Looks better low
I advocate for a mild drop, solely cause the early revision of the suspension sucks. It needs to be functional tho, on the S-tune kit, my W brace is 3.5" from the ground, that's low enough. The thing is these guys are comparing the 20 year old suspension to something new, they have never experienced this platform in "like-new" conditions.
I always tell everyone I'm willing to bet a hefty amount of money that a car with a refresh and cup kit will out-handle a car with coilovers on the street.
As for the HR, I've driven both, I couldn't care less about the HR. It isn't as good as they make it seem. The Z has roughly the same metrics with both engines. A good driver in a DE will beat a bad one in a HR. They are not that far apart.

@ChocolateCowboy you are correct. How i said, stock and OEM all the way around.
Only reason I have Coilovers on my car is because they came off a parts car. there were basically free. couldn't let me go to waste. I threw them on.. Just gotta make proper adjustments so it not rubbing or bottoming out. thank god I haven't done that yet. I am not chasing a stanced look or anything like that. I just wanted to make my car a tad lower and not spend money.. parts I had laying around. i am not a fan of air ride either. lol
A dialed in static suspension setup > cheap coilovers for daily/street use (IMHO).
I've found, based on my own experience, that the OEM struts tend to start leaking around 60-70k mi, usually the rears go 1st. If the rear shocks have an oily film/residue present around the tube, then it's time to for a complete overhaul. I like the Bilstein B6s, but there are many options out there.

Well, I get that. If you have the parts, you might as well use them unless you want to sell them, which you could probably do with all the coilover fanbois out there. You may be redoing the suspension in the near future, but you like wrenching on it and everything is a learning experience, so why not. Give everything a little time to settle in and then you can make minor adjustments and get it dialed in to how you want it.
so far working on this car is enjoyable.. unlike working on my supra. That's a pain in the *** car.. The Z community has taught me a lot.. like learn to do your research. if you are not willing to do the leg work why should anyone help you. and I have put that lesson to good you thanks to you guys. I really appreciate each and everyone of you for answering questions and making me do the leg work and to get my project on the roll.
