Default True style coilovers - reinforcement for racing?

Has anyone who races their z found they need to reinforce the rear shock towers when moving to true style coilovers? Springs I'm planning to use in the rear would be somewhere around 8-9k.

Thanks

If your running a 8 to 9k spring as a true coilover , you are probably running a 20k up front and on 300ish width slicks all around. Just run an x brace in your rear downtubes off the main hoop and triangulate from the lower part of the hoop to the tower

I'm also of the opinion that 8-9K springs on the rear is overkill. After years of racing the Z33, you need some rear compliance to control wheel hop and oversteer.

Whoa late response guy here. What would be your recommendation for rates then? I see a lot of ppl recommending/running 10k front 6-8k rear. I'll include some more info for a bit more context.

Current setup: Koni yellows with swift spec r springs. 275/35/18 tires on all 4 corners. Tire width and wheel size will not be changing anytime soon.

I plan on moving to a true style coilover and ditching the divorced setup.

I primarily use the car to autocross and the occasional track day/tt. I dont daily the car or really drive it much at all outside events. I'm looking to get a set of nice mid-range coilovers this offseason to hopefully make the car a bit more competitive at autox as it already does surprisingly well.

Thanks

12 to 16k fronts , depending on tire compound and aero , with a 5k rear

aftermarket front bar , stock rear , remove an end link in the rear if you need more traction for auto cross

No aero, running super 200s. Vitour P1s. I do have a hotchkis front bar. Using the stock rear still for now
