added procharger, can't adjust camber?!?!?!
Just took my Z in for an alignment at the Nissan dealer (who farms it out to the Infinity Dealer). I get it back with the following note:
Vehicle has been lowered. Castor can not be adjusted due to this and is out of spec. Toe was set.
Besided the stereo and procharger, I've made no other alterations, expecially lowering the car. The Nissan dealer speculated that the extra weight of the intercooler & procharger has caused the car to lower beyond the .8" allowed.
That sux. So, now I either have to remove the procharger and intercooler or get new springs / suspension?!?!?
Has anyone ran across this or is the dealer f'in with me?

Is that dealer so dumb that they do not realize the Z does not have adjustable castor or camber in the front? The only thing they can adjust even bone stock is toe in the front. The rear has adjustable camber and toe only. They are retards.
dealers will always blame your modifications on any car problem. this was they can make you pay for it. get this one... they once blamed my DVD player for engine problems...
YOU CAN'T ADJUST CAMBER ON THE 350Z!!! Procharger or not. That is the STUPIDEST thing I have heard from a dealer in a LONG time (and we've all heard some incredibly stupid things from them).
Call them, or better yet, print this thread out and take it to them and call them on their BS. Come on! The Procharger lowered your car too much for them to align it. That is insane!

I would make them prove it's the additional weight. Have them measure the ride height of your car and then of another 350z on the lot that has the same wheels/tires as yours. They will find that the ride height is the same. With the stock springs you would need an extra 400+ lbs of weight on the front to get a .8 drop.

I had the same problem except mine was with a custom stereo in the rear, I think it added to much weight to the rear causing center of tires to bald. will have to look into it further but the weight does make sense in throwing your camber off.
Balding the center of your tires ussually means that you have over inflated tires, at what PSI do you have your tires at, also i believe if there is too much weight in the back it would cause the inner part of the tread to wear more not the middle. just my .02

I suppose if you have an overweight spouse, you had better not let them ride in the passenger seat since this will obviously cause the tires on this side to wear unevenly. Come on. The stereo would have to weight HUNDREDS of pounds to make any difference I would think.
