Ride = Very stiff, fine for me since I track my car. Not a pleasant ride on city roads...

Durability = off the shelf ones, not sure. I've logged about 10K miles on them so far (1200 track miles). I only know two people who have custom ones, Topics II and a guy racing an S2000 in the Honda Challenge. Both of these people had leaky dampers almost immediately.

Customer Service = blech, I'd rather hang myself

Ease of adjustment = For height, you can just adjust the damper body height. Dampening adjustment is easy for the front, but requires you do drill a hole in the upper strut mount for the rear.

I would go with the tein flex with edfc, so you can adjust dampening from in the car

What are you after a complaint ride or no compromise setup for track and some road use?

I have good things about HKS and Cusco for Road and track use.

AS far as the JIC's go the ride gets better with use or maybe just getting used to it. But yeah def on the stiff side but car handles phenomenaly so its a good trade off and not that bad of ride on the street only really noticed on choppy or uneven roads but then again most shocks or coilover have some trouble with those types of roads on the Z anyway.

I have linear springs on mine and yes I track the car.

Withthe JIC's there are two choices of rear springs. The progressive set is perfect for highway comfort and track use.

I have the progressive set and I am happy with the ride. It is better than stock in both ride and handling.

As for the quality of the ride, it doesn't soften up, you're just getting used to it.

You are correct, as I can attest that I have owned both setups (involuntarily; restort to my initial customer service comment).

Might i throw into the fray some endless/zeal v6 coilovers. very Comfortable yet at home on the track. 6 way adjustable.. unlike jic or tein which are clicks. zeals are actual number display so you know where you are going with each. They do offer a 6 month warranty.. and are very good with customer service.

Zeal Motorsports = JIC USA (unless I'm misunderstanding the connection). I resort to my initial comment.
