Question Do the 350EVO sways reduce the car's ground clearance?

I'm trying to decide between the Hotchkis and 350EVO sways for my Z, and I've seen some pictures and posts that seem to indicate that the 350EVO sways reduce the car's ground clearance, due to their unique shape which causes them to hang lower than any other part on the bottom of the car.

Can someone who has installed these bars confirm for me whether they hang lower under the car than anything else? Thanks!

dont they hang between the wheels? typicly you dont need t concern yourself with anything hanging between the wheels. its the stuff not between the wheels where a speed bump or curb might hit.

Over 95% of anything that might pose a ground clearance issue, you won't have any problem since it's between the rear wheels. Now, I have scraped the sway bar on a few things, namely when I had my left two wheels off coming out of VIR's Oak Tree (straddling the curbing) a bulge in the middle of the road. That's it though...

the rear sway does hang lower... you can really see it from behind if you are about 10 or 15 feet away from the car... anyway, I've had mine on for about a year and never had it hit anything...

Hope that helps,

Thanks for the info, everyone.

The reduced ground clearance is important to me for non-standard reasons. I may one day have to start using the Z during the winter, and the snow that builds up on roads (even plowed roads) between the main tire lanes could cause trouble for a low-hanging sway bar.

Additionally, my Z sees the occasional back road en route to hiking paths, campsites, etc. The uneven, unpaved, rocky ground could cause problems with any reduced clearance (especially if I ever decide to lower my Z,) and is pretty much a deal breaker for these sways.

It's too bad, because the 350EVO sways get such good reviews. Fortunately, the Hotchkis set also gets good reviews and doesn't lower the clearance.

Thanks again!

Gary
