Question Strutbar question?

I removed the strut bar (to install plenum) and then reinstalled it by loosening the nuts so that the blots line up. Then re-tighten it. I think I over-tighten it, but not sure. The strut seems to have various bows in it. Did I break it or is this natural? I didn't hear anything crack or see any (just a slight tighten noise from the strut pushing against the bolts.

There shouldn't be multiple bows/bends in it.

Once you've tightened the nuts by the struts you are only supposed to turn the main center nut 1.7 turns, rotation is towards the front (counterclockwise looking at it from the driver side). The gap between the bar and the engine cover should be between 10-17mm.

So is the strut straight? Looking at it, there a slight M look, where the middle dips.
Hard to tell if I overtighten it and bent it because the paint hasn't chipped and still looks like a solid one piece.

Yea, it has a slight M shape to it. You're OK but suggest you untighten it and redo it following the steps I gave you.

it takes over 800lbs of pressure from side to side pushing into the stock stb...

dont think you could have bent it...

it should have a few bends in it...

here is a pic of mine...
