Default how many miles did it take until your front brakes wore out?

I'm wondering because I'm at 18,000 miles and my brake pads are shot according to my dealership. I don't think I drive too hard compared to this one guy I know I don't even come close(never break torqued).

This is my first sports car so I wouldn't to familiar with the wear and tear?...someone explain what is going on? or if this is normal. Thanx

Mine were gone at about the same mileage. I replaced them with Hawk HPS from: raceshopper.com These reduce brake dust big time.

Changed mine at 27,000 miles to Hawks (hated the dust),
my old pads still had 40% remaing on the pad.

Rear tires and front brakes were toast at 24K on my Track. I changed out the brakes for Hawk HP+. I only had the front installed since the back have like 1/3 the life. Big difference in the dusting. Rims stay cleaner longer. Still looking for tires.

31,000 miles and I am putting my new CarboTech Bobcats on next week. I loved their Panther Xp so much on the track I decided to try their street pad. Low dust low noise and great stopping power!

I took my car to the track 1 week after i got it and wore out the front and the rear pads in 1 day at the track. When i took the car to nissan the deler was disgusted that i had been through 2 pairs of pads in 1 week. i reckon thats got to be some kind of record.

I only got 12,500 miles on my front brakes. All highway miles.
I didn't think I was driving that hard.

The front rotors had to be machined too.

I'v got 5,700 miles on mine and they are starting to squeak like CRAZY but only sometimes... It's kind of weird. Took it to Nissan and they said that there is a brake dust build up and they wont clean it because " You brake to hard " ( he came to that conclusion after taking a 1 second look, BS! ) And they want 60 bucks to "clean" them.

Stevens Creek Nissan is beginning to **** me off. Time to move on to another.

There is some kind of stuff you put on the back of the pads to reduce noise, it helped me for a few hundred miles but the noise is back. I think I need to get new pads, I'm at 17,000 miles.

I'm at 7,800 miles and have this annoying squeak for the first few miles of driving. It eventually goes away, but still irritates the hell out of me.

Just hit the squealers yesterday, loud as hell. I'm not driving it agin till I get some new pads... Any suggestions on a low dust, no squeal, better than stock performance and rotor friendly pad? Do they exist?

Hawk HPS pads are supposed to reduce dust greatly. I have already bought a set, but have not installed them yet. Have heard only good things about them from everybody that's used them.
