Angry Problem with Spring Install

I was on my way to installing the Eibach prokit when i i ran into the problem of not being able to disassemble the front left strut assembly once it was off my car. The bolt on the top of the assemble i guess went through some rust or corrosion or just messed up and will not come off. With the most powerful airguns, it still wont come off instead it spins with the whole shaft of the shock (the shiny part inside the dust boot). Does anyone have any ideas how to loosen this bolt, the other side came off simply with no hassel at all, this one was just stuck. Does anyone have any ideas of how to get this bolt off?

Get some clamp pliers, tighten those just above the top of the dust jacket to hold everything still, then you should be able to loosen that bolt with no problems.

Just the very top of the strut cylinder, it has a nut on it just pinching it with channel lock threw the bump stop should do it.

are you using a 6 pt. bolt to get it of or a 12pt... could be your using cheap tools. The cheaper ones use a 12pt and tend to strip bolts easier. This happened when installing springs on my maxima back in the day. Went to autozone, bought a 6pt and it came right off.

John used a 8mm wrench to hold the very top inplace, and then used I think it was a 19mm wrench to break it lose. It took about 15 minutes on each nut, but it finally does come off..
Just becareful not to strip the bolt, or you could face some problems trying to tighten it back up.

Links "With the most powerful airguns, it still wont come off instead it spins with the whole shaft of the shock (the shiny part inside the dust boot)."

there's an allen head at the top of the piston, use an open end box on the nut, and hold the piston with an allen key.
