Decreased Brake Bite feel
I have the stock non brembo braking system and noticed my brakes don't have the same bite they used to after two consecutive intense track days. The pedal still feels hard and I don't seem to have any "soft pedal" issues. Prior to this last event I replaced my old pads with new Hawk HPS pads and bled the system with new brake fluid. I have not touched the rotors ever and noticed a small but noticeable gauge on the rotors. Would turning my rotors bring my braking system back to 100% or is there another problem I should address? I plan on bleeding the system too and making sure there isn't any buildup on the pads also. Do I also need to smooth out my pads? Also do I need to rebed the pads after rotors have been turned? I have read mixed reviews on turning rotors and want to get some opinions from you guys.
Thanks
Thanks
The Hawks will do that. They do not have the bite that the stock pads have. But most people like that. I know I do!
Turning the rotors won't help.... But if you do turn them, you will have to rebed the pads so that the friction compound transfers to the rotor surface.

I just put on a set of Hawk HP+ up front. Whoah!
That will definitely address your bite issue. The squeal is nowhere as bad as expect - nor is the dusting for that matter.
At the same time, I also added HPS rear, Russell stainless lines front and rear, and ATE Super Blue so that might have helped.
