S-tune/Eibach combo?
I was just wondering if the Eibach Pro-kit springs would work with the Nismo S-tune suspension.
Anyone else thought about doin something different like that or is it not good because of the difference in spring rate/dampening specs between the 2 brands?
Was jus a thought.

Hmmm, looking at it in terms of spring rates
S-tune 448/504
Eibach 296/384 front 316/421 rear
The S-tune springs are also progressive, but I don't see the S-tune springs using that much of a spread between initial rates and final rates, at least not in the front. Runing the Eibach's would NOT be a performance enhancement. Frankly, I'd run Tein basic's vs the S-tune setup if I was chasing performance near their price point, adjustable for height, a lot cheaper and linear springs.

Thanks for the info, I was wondering because I have a set of Eibach's just lying around and was thinking about using them with the S-tunes for a little lower drop.
Almost went with the coils but...been there...

I've chosen to run the Pro-kit springs with S-Tune sways and found them to be an improvement. Besides lowering the CG, I found the car became much more neutral from initial turn-in to exit. Now that I've added the Koni 8241 Sport Shock package (please see Summer '04 issue of Sport Z for details), I find the total package to be much more of what I wanted from the track model in the first place!

Don't worry too much about not getting the summer issue yet. I haven't received mine and thought they wouldn't be mailed until this week. But Bob Bell and the Sport Z staff have been known to work overtime to get out a new issue. Just so I don't take this thread too far from the original thread, adding ANY type of spring won't be too big a performance upgrade by itself. I recall trying a Performance model at Buttonwillow last year equipped with Teins and was underwhelmed with how the Z handled. But adding a nicely engineered set of sway bars really made a difference. The Konis compliment the two updates nicely.
