What color brake calipers for Daytona Blue?
I am looking at a StopTech brake kit for my Daytona Blue 350Z? What color calipers would look the best? I am considering red or black, leaning toward red. Does anyone have pictures of StopTech calipers on a Daytona Blue Z?

Do a seach for 12secZ, click on the hyper links in his sig. Last time I looked he had red calipers on his DB. Can't remember if they were StopTechs', but they are a similar size. hth

Get a color that will make non-enthusiast say...."whats that (gold) thing for in the wheel?" Thats what my friend's sister asked me the other day when she saw my Z. I mean, if I am going to spend $4000 on a mod, Everybody should know its there. Calipers are meant more for show that performance on the street, where you spend most of the time driving. My .02 cents.

If it were me (and I have a DB), I'd go with the red over the black. Just personal preference--but then again, if I had my choice of any colors, I'd stick with the gold that my Brembos already are.

StopTech offered custom color matching for their calipers when I ordered in December '03. There was an additonal fee for this service and I do not know if it is still offered, but worth checking into.

Thanks Bat. The red calipers look awesome on the Daytona Blue car. That is the color setup I am considering (although I am thinking about the 13" StopTech front kit with the soon to be released rear kit). Are your brakes the 14" 4 wheel kit with six piston calipers in front and four piston in the rear? What do you think about the blue Rotora calipers on a blue car? Where did you buy your kit? Finally, how would you compare the Rotora's with the StopTech kit? Thanks for your help.

Yes, 14" rotors, 6 piston up front, 4 in the rear. I came close to getting the Blue Calipers but I wanted them to stand out against my Blue car, so I went with red, glad I did. Contact Red6 on the forum, he hooked me up with a good deal. I came close to getting the Stoptechs, but I couldn't pass up on the deal I got.

I really like our red kit on blue Z's. I've seen them a few times, but unfortunately don't have any pics handy. They are a great contrast, and they really stand out well. If you want something more subtle, our blue is just a little darker than DB. It blends in well overall, but I think it's almost too much blue though. Red is standard price on our kits, while blue would be +$100 per caliper as a special order item.
If you check out this link, you can see one of our customer's R34 Skyline GT-R with our Red calipers on a blue car. This car was in the Fast and Furious...strip off the silly stickers, and it looks pretty sweet (leave our logo on of course )
