Default Suspension upgrade

Just ordered Nismo front & rear sways, and a Stillen strut brace. Want to make the car ride better but don't want to drop it too low. Have 19" Volks. Do I add springs next or do I have to do shocks and springs? Not quite ready for coilovers cause I'm about to order Stillen st2 SC.

i would suggest buying coilovers when its feasible....these would compliment your sways nicely and other than possibly needing camber components (if dropping more than .8") the suspension would be done....if you go shocks and springs you will have less versatility and this may require you to get camber components to stay within spec...so, it would be worth the wait imo to get coilovers

you can go for the tein basic coilovers and street price for that is $755 plus shipping. At least that what I can get it for you.

assuming it will primarily be a street given car, I'd highly recommend the RSR springs...drops the car just enough that it looks right (not slammed, but takes away the unsightly wheel gap). Ride is the same as stock...no surprises.

If you want a setup where you can alter rideheight, then coilovers might be a better choice overall, though it depends on your needs/preferences.

If youre going with FI, you will want coilovers to help track handling, but if you are not taking it to the track then just do springs.

How will Tein basics alter my ride quality?

On the softest setting its slightly stiffer than stock. Although it is slightly stiffer than stock I belive the 19" rims have something to do with ride quality. I suggest locate a few Z's with different suspensions (springs, coilovers, etc) ask them for a ride and make your decission from there.

I have RS-R springs like Z1 Performance recommended. Perfect drop imo. Ride quality is actually slightly BETTER. Handling is better to with the stiffer spring rates

I like them alot!
