Question Installing TEIN Basic Coilovers

So tomorrow I finally get my TEIN Coilovers and Volk Wheels SF-Challanges......But my only problem is, I haven't found an install guide to install the coilovers. I know I have to pull all my plastic out of the trunk, but I need a little more detail to what has to be done. So I am asking if there is anyone out there that has done this install to maybe help me out, thanks.

Bah, don't worry about it. Just come over to my house and we will get them in no problem. I have done Tein installs on other cars before, and I just ripped out about all of my interior for my stereo install.

You don't need to take out the interior. The rear shocks have two bolts that you pull out from under the car. Do a search for spring install, it is pretty much the same thing except the rear shock which is held in by two bolts on the top and one on the bottom. It is very easy, takes about an hour with a lift.

The rear are easy, the front a little harder. On the front, you must jack up BOTH sides at the same time. If you dont have power tools (I didn't) you will need at least a 12 inch breaker bar. Open the hood and remove the 14mm 3 bolts and one nut from each side of the strut bar, the conduits that are attached to it you can push the pins from the back, you have enough clearence to get to the 12mm nuts holding the top of the spring housing. Remove all nuts EXCEPT for one (loosen it, but keep it on, finger tight). Once you compress the spring some, have some one help you push the wheel down (right above the disk break is a hole, I place my 17mm open end wrench there) and had my helper step on it while I pushed forward on the spring. Once it was cleared I removed the remaing nut holding the spring housing.

Good luck man. Pics of the process would be great. I'm going to have to do an install soon myself.

Default Tein Install

Thanks to King Tutt and a friend of mine, we got the TEIN Basics installed. It might have took a long time, but it was def time well spent. I def learned a lot about how my suspension is setup. I have a few pics, but not detailed of the install. Honestly my hands were so damn black I couldn't get detailed photo's. So sorry about that, but the good news is, as soon as I figure out how to post pics, and I get back from this hurricane Ivan crap, and NOPI, I will have posted the pics of my Trizzie sitting clean on 19". Thanks all and don't forget to reply of what you think when I get these pics up!

Well we get the front fenders to touch the tire. not too low in the back, because I had to shave the fenders but now that that is done, it's gonna drop another inch in the back.
