Changing brakes... suggestions/reviews?
I am sick of a few things with the factory brakes on our touring model...
all the damned dust on the front wheels
squealing no matter what I do
the extremely rapid wear of both pads and rotors
For those, and other, reasons, we are looking into a brake upgrade. Currently we don't have aftermarket wheels (memory tells me ours are 17"), so going oversize is not an option right now.
I am looking around for a replacment setup that will not interfere with the current wheels, but will give us a good measure of improvement. If it turns out that simply going to a ceramic pad with some new rotors, then so be it. I'm reading everything I can find here and elsewhere, but...
Please post your review of what you have, both good and bad. I don't want to break the bank on this, but I am sick of these things.
I had thought of SSBC, but would like you guys' and gals' input.
