What suspension mods compliment each other?

What suspension mods compliment each other?
I am somewhat illiterate when it comes to suspension mods.
What throws me off is how do the different types of common suspension mods work together?
Do some mods overlap others?
What mods are required for a lowered z, or what mods are required for z's with 19" wheels/tires?
Do mods that fix wheel hop hurt tracking abilities, and what suspension setups are good for drag strip only or tracking only?
