Default Wilwood 6-piston/4-piston INSTALLED! Pics inside

Well, yesterday, I finished installing my Wilwood 14 inch big brake kit that I picked up from Jeff at Evolution. These are the ultra light 6 piston front and 4 piston rears with slotted rotors. The caliper's are less than half the weight of the stock front calipers....amazing. Both calipers are CNC machined from billet aluminum.

Installation is relatively straightforward. All the bolts and stainless steel lines and included, and the brackets are a work of art. No shims or misc parts are needed for the install...it is truely a bolt on affair. Only other mod is that you have to cut the metal backing dust plates with wire cutters.

I spent several minutes bedding in the pads and rotors, and I have to tell you...the braking power is incredibly strong! After two full stops, the pads heat up, and the braking force seems to grow dramatically. I was VERY impressed with the overall feel of the brakes. I plan on doing a track day next month, and I'll post some feedback when the brakes are used during track sessions. The brakes come wtih Poly Matrix Q compound pad which is their street pad. The pads are held in place by one metal rod; there are no clips or anything else. This makes changing pads at the track super-easy.

And of course, the brakes just flat out look GREAT! I love how they finally fill up 19inch wheels, and I think the red contrasts nicely with the rest of the car. I am very pleased..THANKS JEFF and SHERWIN!

Just loosen this one but, and you can remove the pads. Very clean and simple process.

Look...even my 12yo neighbor can install these brakes. In this pic, he's installing the pads in the calipers. Helps to have little buddies around during the install...

sorry for the nighttime pics...it was late. I will try to take some daytime shots.

Call Jeff @ Evolution for pricing. They are $3500 + $200 extra for the red calipers. I bought them so long ago...and my car was in the shop so long...I may have forgotten the price...LOL....but I think I am close.

very nice, I went into my local speed shop yesterday to have my guy take a look at some rattling I had after I had my headers installed and he had a set of Wilwoods for a Ford Truck laying on his desk - they are definitely works of art - Since we are buds, he will hopefully get me a great deal on these when I'm ready for them...

Congrats on the setup, it looks great!

I see you have the Tein Flex on your car also. VERY NICE combination. Just finished putting the very same setup, including the Tein Flex, on my Z a couple weeks ago. Expect to get good comments on your brakes from people in the know. I got from Brake Zone but Jeff with Evolution handles same thing. CONGRATS
