Question bIGGER PROFILE insted of suspension upgrade

I just ordered 19" Wheels, the tires are probably going to be:
245/35/19 and 275/30/19.

I was thinking may be of getting tires with a little more profile to reduce the space between the car and the wheel, so it looks better.

Is this a good solution or should i just get the Tien S-Tech Springs.

I read your other thread, same question. Misinformation over there so I didn't want to get involved in an argument.

Anyway - 245/35/15 and 275/30/19 is not the proper sizes for the "Z" or the "G". Using these sizes results in a wheel OD that is the same front and rear. That's fine for a BMW or any other car that was designed to have an equal overall diameter wheel/tire combo front and rear. Our cars were not. Our cars were designed with a stagger. All the electronics and the handling setup is designed with this stagger in mind. With that being said, the proper tire sizes for a 19" wheel is 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. Another car designed with a stagger is the Vette, both C5 and C6. Cheverlot does it with different size wheels front and back. Nissan does it with different size tires, the effect is the same.

In short, maintain the stagger.

BTW, I'm assuming the wheels you ordered are wide enough to carry the above mentioned tires - 8.5" front and 9.5" rear. I'm also assuming you got them with the proper offsets. Say something like +22 to +25mm in front and +27 to +30mm in back.

Lou
