Default Help me choose springs..

I need some springs so my 20's wont make my car look like a 4x4. Ive looked into the most popular but i cant choose between eibach or tanabe. I want to put a body kit eventually so ill need a little clearance for all the speed bumps and stuff. Where is the cheapest place to order eibachs and which do you guys recommend? Thanks

i would suggest considering some coilovers, so you can adjust the height depending on your wheels and bodykit.

for coilovers, teins are nice. tein basics if you are on a budget.

What is the absolute LEAST amount of drop you feel you can live with to be happy and what's the most amount of drop you can live with? Keeping in mind that if you drop past .7" you'll start to get out of oem alignment specs more and more and correcting that can get expsnsive. And buying replacement 20" tires would get expensive too I bet.

Oh and any comments on where you stand on performance and ride quality desires?

Recap, min drop, max drop, performance and ride quality?

I would recommend RSR down springs. Great quality and a nice drop. About .6-.7 in drop so no worries about inability to set proper camber, etc. Also not too much a drop so no real clearance issues.

RS-R are good if u dont want to much of a drop. Also they are a performance spring (But they ride the same as OEM). I have them and would recommend them

Would the drop with those look good with my 20's? Where can I purchase these at the lowest price and do you have pics of your car?

What about the tein s-techs. I saw a thred og a guy with a silverstone on racing hart j8's. It looked like a descent drop without going into the unsafe range. Someone told me that If i got these with the 20's that it would drop my car back to stock height. Is this true?

Listen to the people that tell you RSR because its true they are the perfect spring. Just like Goldie Locks. Not too hard and not too soft. Just perfect! Great stock ride with a little more stiffness when needed, and great handling! No sense in coil-overs unless you want to get nocious every time you drive.

Seriously if you ride a hard tail chopper you would love coil-overs. The RSR springs are perfect if you just want to go out and mess around and race every car that looks like it can get out of its own way. Like I do and get lots of tickets and pay lots of fines.

who said they dont work with the stock shocks? Pretty sure they were designed to work with the stock shocks... Ive had them on my car for over 8 months and everything is still perfect. Just remmeber with a spring like RS-R or Tein. its not a MAJOR drop.

I bought my RS-Rs locally.. Check out the sponsors of this site. I think vividracing sells them.. The Tein springs are cheaper but i believe RS-Rs are better performing.

tein spring is not performance spring, just like what the ads said. S stand for Style.

RSR works very very well with stock shocks. Suprised me that someone will chose hotchiks over RSR.
