Default Brake Fluid street,canyon and fwy. racing not the track which brand do you suggest?

What does everyone use if you just street, canyon and fwy race not on the track.
Ive heard motul 500 or 5.1 valvoline synpower synthetic which is the best? Please help getting ready to flush system.

For the street I'd put in Valvoline Synpower. Its boiling temp isn't quite high enough for track use but for street use, it absoarbs less water than most other brake fluids and its dirt cheap.

Thanks for your input! I had a feeling thats what I was going to end up using. I know its at pep boys. I forgot to ask how often to bleed and or replace for street use.

I alternate ATE Blue and Gold, that way I can tell when the fluid is flushed completely. They are the same fluid different colors.

I just put ATE Super Blue in mine, made it very easy to make sure I was getting new fluid and not old. It is not that expensive. I got it from Turner Motorsports the Stoptech BWM Team in the Speed racing series. I bought two liters and didn't even use all of the first one.

Yep, that's why I used to use it. I've since upgraded to Motul RBF600, but for the street, ATE is the best in my opinion.

ATE blue or Typ 200...Motul 5.1...all good choices.

All the fluids listed above are DOT 4 or above, if you want to stay within the DOT 3 spec (and why not?) you can use Wilwood 570.

The one im considering Valvoline; says compatable with dot 3 and 4 Im draining out all the stock fluid as you probably figured.
Where can I get the fluid you are reccomending and have you heard anything bad about valvoline, motul 5.1, ape blue etc. I havent done anything yet I want to make sure I make the right choice. Thanks for time and input.

Please let me know what streets, canyons and freeways you "race" on so I can avoid them like the plague.

Why not take it to the track, get some instruction, and not endanger the lives of others (and yourself)?

To answer your question. It's very unlikely you would boil your fluid on the street no matter how crazy you drive -- unless you just go around doing 100mph to 0 stops over and over.

That said ATE Super Blue is what I use (and, yes, I track my car). Super Blue held up beautifully at Buttonwillow with my new Stoptechs (thanks J Ritt)

I've heard nothing bad about the others they're just not in spec for the Z, so unless you've boiled a 570 degree DOT 3 fluid there's no reason to go out of spec with a higher-temp DOT 4 fluid. A 6 pack of 12 oz bottles runs about $29 + shipping at stockcarproducts.com.

More input ........ ezee says I should run dot 3 factory brake fluid, does anyone else agree? Is valvoline synpower a mistake? Is motul 5.1 a mistake? We have some nasty open canyons in vegas where you can reach speeds in excess of 150 mph.
I really dont want to run track fluid I dont think its necessary. But I dont know if stock fluid is sufficient either.

I did not say use "factory brake fluid", I said use a DOT 3 fluid because that's the spec for the Z. Wilwood 570 is not stock but it is a DOT 3 fluid. The only reason you'd need a higher-temp DOT 4 fluid is if you've found that a fluid like the 570 is not sufficient for your needs. If you've boiled the 570 fluid then you might need something more but that's unlikely for street use, until then why use a fluid that's not in spec, what do you gain?

I have yet to boil the DOT 4 stuff on the track...but I am kinda a newbi on the road course.

I just ordered a case of wilwood 570. Thanks ezee and everyone else for your input. 570 degree temp. should work well for my situaion.
Staying with a straight dot 3 seems to be the logical way to go since like you said, why go to a higher dot rating if you dont need to.
