KONI vs TOKICO
Ok i know shock questions have been coming up alot lately. BUt i had a question of my own.
Im either going to get TOkico or Koni shocks.. Tokico seem to have alot of advantages (like cheaper price. more adjustability). Koni seems to have a good rep tho....... What is the pros and cons of each? other opinions and facts are welcomed as well of course
Thanks

If so, the only difference is you have to remove the 2 top mounting bolts on the tokico and pull the strut down to adjust. Not that much more complicated. Don't even have to take tires off.

to adjust the konis, do you have to jack up the rear?

. I haven't tried to adjust mine yet but I know I can't get in through the wheel well so it will have to be from underneath. To me it still seems easier to just slip an allen wrench in and turn then having to remove nuts, compress the shock, adjust it before it rebounds and then get it back into position and retighten. That's a hassle. I guess it would all depend on how often you want to play with the settings.

I'm very happy with the tokico's. I don't think the koni's are $200 better. As far as the adjustment issue, once you get them set, you won't be changing them anyway. The only time mine will change is on the track, and I'd be swapping wheels anyway.
If I was just wanting something to perform a little better on the street I'd choose the tokicos they are cheap. For a serious auto-x/track car there is no question that the koni's are superior. Konis can be custom revavled to your exact specs. You can have them rebuilt usually for free at the koni trailer at some of the bigger nasa and solo2 events. You can adjust them in 30 secs between runs without taking a mechanical. They are yellow and match my car.
I'm assuming everyone is talking about the Tokico D-Specs?
Tokicos are good but IMO, I prefer the Koni Sports Adjustables (yellow). On top of that, the Konis are race proven and can be custom ordered...
