FS: OEM Brembo touch-up paint
Hey Forum!
I went through the journey looking for touch up paint for OEM Brembo's and had some left over to spread around. Up for sale is unopened Humbrol 14ml enamel touch up paint from the UK that matches the OEM Brembo brakes VERY CLOSE. I have 4 available. Asking $8.00+ shipping. I had them for a couple weeks and just touched them up yesterday. I kept one for myself which should last a life time(hopefully). I'll post some pictures up of the touch up. They run for about 6-8 dollars on some websites with shipping about 2 weeks...just want to make up for the single one i purchased by charging an extra 1-2 dollars. The return for you is faster shipping.
Technique I used:
clean up the exposed area with a small piece of 320 grit sand paper... VERY light. You are just trying to clean up the area with no paint and smooth out. I applied heat resistance primer just to lay a foundation. You will have to tape up. This was VHT manifold primer. The paint holds up well with heat, VHT was just an extra precaution. Use a light 400-600 to clean up the smooth the primer. Apply the enamel with very light coats with a small hobby brush. 3-4 should get a good result. I have not ran the car for much yet but so far so good. Others have used Humbrol with good results... just wanted to give my experience with it.
