Default 2004 Z enthusiast pricing

How much under invoice are 2004 models selling for? My target price on an enthusiast at with side airbags is 27300 which is 1500 under invoice. Anybody think thats doable in south jersey - the best price I've gotten so far is 500 under or 28300. I don't think thats good enough for a one year old car.

Some dealers in Southern California are doing 4-6k off MSRP. I got a very rare model for 5k off, so I assume you can get massive discount even in NJ. The dealers really want to get those 04's off the lot.

South jersey - the car I'm looking at msrps at 31000. invoice is 28800 so 27300 might be a stretch.

Take a spin up to CT, the further north you find the car you are looking for the better you can deal. Just got my Enthusiast this weekend. Your target price or lower is possible up here right now.

Thanks for the feedback- I might just wait till we get a good snow here in nj- then make my offer to the local dealers. I think 1500 under invoice for an 04 is fair to them but some of these guys say they'll wait till march to sell the 04's (at their price)if they have to. I think they may be living in the past as far as Z prices but we'll see.

My brother's advice (worked as a salesman for 1 year and hated it) ... if you walk out and no one follows you to your car the deal is too good. Best thing you can do is make your offer, stand firm and then walk out if they offer any back talk.

Of course he offered this advice after I had already purchased mine. I did pretty well but I'm thinking another $500 to $1k could have come off if I had started lower.
