Thinking of buying a 2005 350z
I will be using this car pretty much everyday and will be using it year round...even in the winters of New England.
I am 18, and im wondering if the 350 is still having problems with tire wear and paint chipping with the 05 models..and if i should get winter tires, if that would help at all for the winter time..
Any help would be appreciated.

i live in upstate NY and i would not drive the Z in the winter..i just bought an '05 2 months ago and from all my research it seems the tire feathering problem is taken care of on the '05's but nonetheless why would u want to drive a brand new 350z in the winter?? that is insane..just buy a beater for the winter. This car won't move (slight exaggeration) in the winter in N.E. plus with all the potholes and crap it is not worth it...aaaaannnnnd you're 18, if you get into an accident ur insurance will be NUTS, more so than it already is..i'm assuming u got an insurance quote already, i really hope you did...lol..i'm 25 never an accident, no points and my insurance is like $2500 a year..when i was 22 i got a quote for the Z and it was $6500 a year, and that is not an exaggeration!! lol

I just bought an 05 z, coming from a fwd car and under fair conditions it's a world of difference. If new england has a winter next year like they did this year, I couldn't imagine driving it in those conditions... And like mentioned above, I don't know why you want to do that to the z anyways...
As for the paint chipping haven't personally seen any problems with that nor have I heard someone that I know with a z mention any problems like that...
As for the insurance, I'm 24, and just like the guy that posted above, I have the same record and I am paying the exact same thing....
I don't think the z is going to like being a daily driver in a new england winter...good luck though.
