Default invoice listed

I dont know if any of you guys have seen this yet, but edmunds.com now has the invoice prices for our Z's. Looks like the dealers are making around 2,000 - 3,000 if they sell it at MSRP. Also, the True Marked Value is listed at about 2,000 over MSRP.

no matter, dealer has to make money too. I got mine under MSRP, so i'm not to worried who makes money are not.

I just want my dealership not to "jerk my chain".

Default Fine with me

It's fine with me if they make money. I like to get paid for my work too. Just as long as they don't try to get some of that extra market value out of my pocket.

I'm hoping you all know that the dealer didn't pay invoice for the car but way below that. That's why I always try and get a car for a few hundred below invoice, which doesn't mean that the dealer lost money on the deal, they still make tons of money.

I think dealer has 3% hold back... I think that means Nissan will give them 3% for each car the sell. Can someone explain dealer hold back? Thanks.

Dealer holdback...I believe that dealer holdback is not always an issue on every car. It is more like an incentive to push cars that Corparate wants to hit the streets or on models that are not selling. I could be wrong but I don't think there is any dealer holdback on the Z. If someone knows forsure let me know. Also it is true that dealers don't always pay invoice, they can get cars for less. Also if a dealers is not making money on a car they won't sell it! I agree dealers should make some profit, but there is a resonable limit (whatever the consumer is willing to pay).
