Default best time to get a new 350z for lowest price possible?

hey all...with the 06 models about to come out with minor changes (LED tail lights, etc)..do u think prices on the leftover 05 will drop a lot?
i know location counts too, but i just want some voice from z heads
i want to get a new 6 speed z with navi for as low as i can. i dont really care what color it is because i think all colors of the z look really nice. maybe i should wait until like dead winter and get that last 05 z on the lot or something lol thanks in advance guys

Since you live in SoCal waiting for "winter" does not mean much. But waiting for 06s to hit the dealers will drive down 05 prices. From reading the boards it looks like dealers give lower prices at the end of the month when trying to make sales quotas.

Also use the Nissan site to do searches withion a couple hundred miles of your home; the more dealers you track the higher probability of lower price.

There might even be some leftover 04's out there. I know around here there are.
I live in New England though. Cali might be a different story.

Late in the day, late in the month, and late in the year.

lol i doubt that. ppl in so cal have serious $$$$ (except for me )
i heard that also...that if u buy during the last few days of the month, u can get a better deal on it because they have to meet the qouta. i was also looking at a 6spd g35coupe..but theyre so rare around here that i cant even bargain
hopefully some how some way, i can get a super incredible deal on a 6spd z with navi. im in LA and willing to drive all the way down to the border if the deal is nice enough, hehe

Ideally, around winter time, but like someone mentioned, that doesn't really pertain to you However, late July will be a great time. Dealers unload 05s during this time to make room for the 06s. If you're lucky, you may find a few in late August.

not pertaining to the 350z..but last october...when i bought my 04 accord v6 coupe when 05s came in...i was able to get a fully loaded minus navi with 72k extended warranty for around the invoice price. i love the car and the mods ive done to it, but i want a 2 seater now
im trying to sell the car to my moms friend who is also a car enthusiast..hopefully it all goes thru so dont get raped for a trade in value lol

I'd go ahead and start calling the dealers around, you might find that you can find one willing to sell at invoice price which is close to the best price anyways.

I was amazed, I was in Arlington TX a couple weeks ago and they still had some 04's on the lot.

wj4...Z's are not really selling that great!...The buyers are in the "drivers seat" when dealing with these salesmen!

I've yet to see a manufacturer release a vehicle within its model year (i.e. an 06 released in 06). Odds have it that it will be released in the fall of 05. Hopefully it will arrive early fall . . . it doesn't make sense to bring in a sports vehicle in the middle of winter.

yes i know! ive seen ppl even have trouble reselling their z's with low mileage for practically dirt cheap. i will do what my friends dad did lol. he basically got a fully loaded honda ridgeline before it even hit the dealers for $30,000. im going to "low ball" them and if they cant do it, ill walk out and im sure ill get a call from them a day or so later, hehe. i just hope i can contain myself with the mods on the z if i do get it, lol..although im going to do only bolt ons...but man, intake, exhaust, header, clutch, suspension, rims, etc i drove past several nissan dealerships and saw a bunch of z's in the lot, about the same amount of z's as altimas and stuff
