I'm curious how far below MSRP people have been able to obtain on a '05 Coupe.

None at all....
In Houston, TX, the dealer will laugh at you if you want to pay anything less than the asking price. They aren't worried about selling them down here. I have seen them go above asking price. I am hunting for a car now in Houston. I am going to take the first 350 or G35 coupe I can find in black with a six speed. This is a sidenote but finding a 6spd g35 in Houston is absolutely impossible unless you want to order a brand new one because they are never on the lot for over a day or two.

right now you can get them for about $100 over invoice. 06's come out in a few months and they dont want any 05's left over. At least that's whats going on here in VA

When the 06 comes out the dealer will be willing to let em go for under MSRP. and for everyone that knows how dealerships operate (new cars) they make $ even if they sell for under invoice due to kickbacks and other incentives.

I am looking at getting the 350z and want to know when the 06's are coming out and if it is coming w/ more hp.
In Austin,Tx I was offered 31k for a performance model on the internet.

Per a nissan north american tech supervisor, the 06 Z has no engine improvements.
This may be strictly a rumor, however they usually know what they're talking about.
