Default Got the pricing...Now it's Yay or Nay?

Hey Guys, I've been on this forum for a few months now and I learned very helpful information....I even taught my dealer a few things...Lol... How ever, My father isn't being very reasonable with me, I fumbled the ball twice at football camp and he was ....

So he told me instead of my 28k-30k spending limit, I'll have lease one now and pending on this years season, he'll buy it out for me at the end of the lease....

So heres the deal, 05' black brand new base model 6MT, lease for $375 for 48 months , $4,000.00 down, 15k miles a year...At the end of the lease, He says it will not be more then $10,000.00 to keep...I told him my favorite color combination is black on orange interior he said only the touring models come with that combo....But he said he will get aftermarket nissan burnt orange leather seats throw them in my base model at no cost extra...

I have to call him within the week and let him know my deicision...Does it sound like a good deal to you expierenced owners?

I thank everyone again for all there information....All replys will be GREATLY appreciated....

i can gaurantee you it will be more than 10k to keep bc dealers make you lease the car to the point of estimated resale value which is going to be more than 10k after 3 years.

why flame the guy? i mean granted he may sound like a brat but he's asking for advice here... i think too that it will be more than 10k after the lease, if your dealer begs to differ then have him put it in writing along with the lease contract...

Leasing is never the best option. Buy a low miles used vehicle, you can get a 2004 base with 20k miles on it for about 20k.

This should make financial sense to your father and will make you seem like less of a brat to him as well. There is nothing wrong with a slightly used vehicle, it is actually a very smart decision as a majority of the depreciation occurs in the first year.

That doesn't sound bad at all considering you get burnt orage seats. It sounds to good to be true though. I have a 05 SB in base trim and I that's a hell of a deal.

not sure how old you are but imo any car is a good car if you dont have to pay for it

Anyways I agree with the buying used suggestion. I know there are some people out there that are real **** about only buying new cars. Personally I prefer buying used most of the time. Most of the time you can afford a better car, better model, etc because you are willing to buy used. If you are afraid of getting a lemon from a private seller spring for a used car from the dealer (maybe even get a certified pre owned one) or a reputable used car dealer
