Maybe my monitor sucks but it looks like flat black. Is that what you intend to do?

I think he's going for the "Stealth" look. BTW...are you planning on painting your CF kit as well or will you just be painting what is currently SB?

it's has more gloss than flat black. in terms of the cf pieces i'm not painting it it still remain in cf. i think it'll still blend in.

it'll look hardcore...but your wheels might be too shiny tho...and the clearcoat on the CF pieces might seem a bit out of place as it's shiny. I have thought about that too...but it just doesn't suit me I guess. But if you want to, go for it! I'm sure it'll turn out awesome and unique.

Yeah, I figured you wouldn't paint the CF stuff. You would definitely want show-off those pieces. Although not a dramatic change, I think it may blend it quite well with your CF pieces. A pricey mod for something fairly close to stock but if you got the $$$$, go for it!

Flat black is not my cup of tea but it is your car and more power to you. You can bet it will be unique however you might be limiting who would buy your car in the future.

I have seen the ME 412 in person at SEMA and was a piece of junk IMO. The fit and finish were certainly that of a working prototype, not production model.

Just take a piece of 2000 grit to your clear coat, that will give you the idea. If you don't like it you take some 3m compound and a hi-power buffer to make it like new. Keep in mind it will make you clear coat thinner than it already is.

I dont believe they were even considering making a production model. From what I remember, it was race inspired (no ac/heat, no radio, no nice seats)... nothing that you would want in a production vehicle. They even have a foam dispensors just incase of a fire (race tech.).

As far as the paint goes, the ME 412 looks great in that color because it has nice sharp lines and almost stealth like. Your car is so smooth and fluid like that i dont think it would bring foward that same look, if you do end up repainting your car (which i think it looks bad *** the way it is), you should consider something pearl inspired.

Just my .02

Go for it, and as for the cf pieces, have them clearcoated with a satin clear to match the finish, but still keep the cf look. Actually, just have your whole car done in a satin clear over the existing paint and keep the cost down.

Nay. At least when people say your car is rice now, it really will be rice. (most domestic owners call all imports rice)

JMO. Flat-black, even with just a little gloss, is just like those Honda kids who can't afford to paint their body kit yet.

I saw a wide body NSX painted flat black looks soo mean. I think the cool factor will only last so long, and you may get tired of it. If you decide to do it, def. shoot some satin/flat clear coat over the CF pieces to have them blend in. Might even give it that nice dry CF look.

Flat black is probably your best bet to avoid being detected via lidar.

Do you have any better pics of the original color? IMO the pic you posted doesn't really show it off very well.

I think it would be a total waste of money on a already beatiful black car.

I saw the ME 412 as well and my first thoughts was it would look 10X better painted. I think the satin finish makes the car look like unfinished urethane or a quick sticker overlay.

I saw a flat black Civic Si a few years back and it wasnt very mind blowing. Save your money buy a turbo or something that going to finish off your already bad *** Z.
