Default Please Help Me!! Leasing!

Went to the dealer yesterday and looked at a yellow 2005 grand touring roadster. Didnt get into numbers too much but the sales guy said I would be around 600 a month if I put down 3,000. Went in today and test drove the enthusiest roadster in yellow. We ran some numbers and they came up with 2800 down and 595 a month for the enthusiest roadster in yellow. I basically walked out at that point. I did let them know that, that was way too much and I wasn't interested. They of course tried to get me to stay and I told them that I might be back later in the month. What type of deal should I be looking for? I can handle a monthly payment of 550 but no more than that and a down of 1800. Is this realistic for a roadster or am I crazy. Thank you for your help. I have been getting raped by dealers since I turned 18 and dont want this to be another time. Thanks again!

Are you talking about leasing or buying? What is the MSRP of the vehicle that you’re looking at?

DON'T LEASE YOU ARE THROWING AWAY YOUR MONEY....Now if you have great credit your payments should be lower as is your down. I would see how much you can get the car at a purchase or if you drive VERY little miles then lease.

I am trying to lease, I wont put more than 12,000 a year on it. And I know in three years I will want something new. I dont really have a choice about leasing right now cant afford to finance a roadster and thats what I really want. The dealership is claiming 36,500. Carsdirect.com says they should be under invoice right now due to the time of year.

Sorry but I have no comments about renting (I mean leasing). Way too completed and filled with potential pitfalls. Best of luck.

Spelling error: “Way too complicated.”
