What exactly do you want?

You should probably be able to find almost exactly what you want when the 06's come out, I doubt you will have to special order ... just find an internet manager at a car dealership and tell them what you want, they will find it (or the closest thing to it) for you and ship it to their dealership.

I mean, it's not worth it if you're doing this to try to get something like "Base Z with nothing on it at all, no splash guards, no floor mats..."

Especially since they are going to have fewer different trim levels for 06 than they had for 05...

Hmm well I know they won't have the Anniversary trim for '06 but what others did they get rid of?

well im looking for a touring with navi, aero package, and all the neccessities (aluminum kick plate, side curtain airbags, carpeted flooring all around) in a 6mt. is it even possible to get a suber black with frost interior? cause if it is i may want that too.

I heard that they got rid of the performance package.

In the 05's, you can't even get frost / light gray leather with a black Z. I doubt they will have that as an option for 06, but you can hope...

It sounds like you want a fully loaded touring model... should not be hard to find at all. Definitely no reason to pre order

When you asked the dealer, what did he say?

If you order, make sure the dealer actually gets it placed when he says he will.

Figure 2 to 4 months.

Performance model was zapped for 06.

I don't think frost comes with black but easy to do aftermarket leather on seats.

I ordered mine on 9-7-05 and was told to expect build time/ship time of around 90 days. I got the Magnetic Black, 6sp, vent. orange seats, kick plate, cargo net, trunk mat and splash guards. Don't know price yet, my dealer couldn't get that info yet from the Nissan rep, but I have guaranteed $500 over invoice pricing, which I am happy with for this area, not to mention getting exactly what I want.

So you are getting a 2006 for only $500 over invoice or am I reading that wrong?

Yep, an '06 Roadster Grand Touring for $500 over. My dealer said the only way I could get $500 over was if I ordered it, rather than them doing a dealer trade, but I can wait. The salesman is a friend, but I did have other dealers through their internet sales staff help me get the competitive rate.

I encourage you to stick to your guns & get precisely what you want.

I don't know dekidex from the man in the moon but you might give a broker a shot.

I've bought my last two cars thru a broker & a dealer will never see my face again; broker is the only way I'll go.

I'm guessing MSRP for a totaly bare '06 6M base model will be about $27,000 and the invoice will be about $25,000.

I am hoping to try to meet them at halfway at $26,000, plus all the BS tax, license, etc. which I'm estimating would be about $29,000 total.

At $26,000 They should make at least $1,000 profit off me and I should save about $1,000 off MSRP.

I'm prepaired to pay $29,500 total but any more than that and I will start getting pi$$ed but it's not like I will buy a different car. In the end I will have to pay whateevr I have to pay, within reason.

$29,000 OTD I would be happy.

$29,500 OTD, I can live with.

$30,000 OTD, they better throw in the hot secretary

Hello,

One of the reasons why i started the Automotive Brokerage business,is because i was tired working at the dealerships, where people would get riped off all day long!
I love the Car Business, belive it or Not in Europe, being a Car salesman is a high level job,but when i got here,i had all these people being miserable about buying a car.I'm the bigest car freak and had around 17 cars in the last 4 years, for me personaly theres nothing more exciting than switching to a new car,but a lot of people dont feel that way. That's why i got into this business!!I can save you money, you do not need to speak a single word to a dealer. You just let me know what you like and i will get it for you! I'am even there at the Dealership with you when you need to take delivery of the Vehicle so there is no mistakes made with the paper work,(them trying to sell you something you do not want in the finance dept.like, low jack, extended warranty, paint protection which is only a spray belive it or not etc ...)Once you leave the Dealership with your new car, thats when i leave!

Dekidex, due to a local broker that has "done me right" on my last two car purchases I'm a firm believer in car brokers. But I'd suggest you bring your service up one notch.

I never see the inside of a dealership. I may visit car lots to look at/drive the car(s) I'm considering. Once I've nailed down what I want, I call the broker, she finds the car I want at the right price (with financing if necessary), and the dealer delivers the car to my front door (litterly) and I sign the paperwork & write a check.

Hey Buddy,

I do that too, delivering a car on a flatbed with a nice Bow,is my Specialty.I had Cars delivered to Miami from LA!
Most of my clients prefer to be at the dealer to take delivery because they want to be there when their car is being detailed, and made ready for delivery.
But some prefer for the car to be delivered to their house.
It is all about what my clients desire, its not up to me.

I guess I'm just lazy...............delivering to my door just seems soooooooooo painless.

LOL!

Maybe you ought to give "our" house broker a shoot!
