Default Buying a new Z in Southern California

Hey guys, new to the board and hopefully a Z owner before the year ends. Just had a couple questions ...

1) What are these bad boys going for in southern cali right now? MSRP? Lower? Higher etc ... what's a good dealership to deal with.

2) What is Vehicle Dynamic Control?

3) How is the stock LSD?

Thanks in advance!

I suggest Antelope Valley Nissan. A bit out of the way but they sell @ MSRP and they are honest. VDC is a godsend. When you want to go fast and not think too much it takes care of you. When you are racing, it is like your mother and you should probably shut it off. Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply. So would you say if i could get a 350z @ MSRP in Southern Cali that would be considered a great deal?

A Zzzzzzzzz at MSRP is a "street" (as opposed to "great") deal.

The "tone", as I read it here, is that prices are heading down with some folk getting prices slightly lower than MSRP.

I'm writting a check tomorrow for a Zzzzzzz at MSRP. If you wait abit and pit dealers against each other you might get a grand or so below MSRP.

Well today I called about 10 dealers and all had the car marked as high as $4,000 over MSRP. I found a dealership with the exact model I want (Silverstone Enthusiast) and set an appointment to go in tomorrow. Should I be aiming for MSRP? If I get that, should I settle for that?

Hey Scan, I bought a Redline Enthusiast about a month ago in Fresno--paid MSRP + 1000. At the time they couldn't keep them on the floor. They're now down to MSRP--a 4 week wait would have been the smart thing do to, but hindsight is always 20/20. Some dealerships are adding "options", such as paint protectant, to help cushion their markups, but it's hardly worth it. If you look around, you shouldn't have a hard time finding what you want at MSRP. Good luck!!

MSRP is the most you should pay for in Cali.

Tray Gardena Nissan in Gardena, CA.
I paid MSRP for mine about 1 month ago.
They have 3 Z's on the lot now, a Super Blac, a Pikes peak White and a Redline. Sorry, I don't know which version they are, but give 'em a call... nice dealership!

I got my Silverstone Touring from Torrance Nissan. They quoted me MSRP right off the bat. For the most part straight shooters. Not sure if they have any in-stock, but give them a try. My sales guy was Percy Ward, had very good follow up and follow through with him.
