Default Soon to be 350Z owner, got some questions.

I have been reading this forum for a few months, and knew a lot more about the 350Z, but still couldn't find answers to these questions.

I live in Toronto, Canada, and it snows here, so will have to drive my 350Z in the snow.

1. Can you actually fit a full set of rims with tires into the 350Z, without leaving the trunk open? I would think you have to use the passenger seat to put at least 1 wheel. I don't want to have to find another person to drive another car to carry the other set of wheels when i swap between winter and summer tires.

2. Since I will be using the winter tires with another set of rims for at least 5 months here in Toronto, I am looking to get another set of Tire Pressure Monitor System for the winter rims. How much does it usually cost to get the dealer to set the TPMS to work with the car everytime I change between my summer and winter rims?

3. I am planning to put a Nismo kit (front, sides, and rear), does it fit perfectly on the 2006 models, just like the 2003-2005, any modifications needed? I want to make sure before I make this big purchase. Can you still keep the OEM front chin spoiler after the Front Nismo USDM lip is installed? Or does it get in the way and needs to be removed?

4. How much clearance is there at front with the Nismo USDM lip installed and with stock suspension?

Thanks

1) I've never heard of anybody being able to do this. I have the Roadster so I definately can't.

2) I don't have the exact $$$ figure, but based on other posts, buying a second set of monitors is expensive and there would be a fee from the dealer to re-program the tires every time you change them. You may find it better not to install monitors in your winter tires. IMO.

3) & 4), sorry I don't know.

I got two new rear tires recently and I only had room for one in the back and then the other one went in the passenger seat. So, it may be possible but I didn't get 2 in the back.

Wow, I didn't know fitting a tire in the rear was possible, but I haven't tried. If our manual tells us explicitly how to fit 2 golf bags in the rear, I didn't even consider fitting a tire in the back.

you won't be able to fit the rims+tires into the base model version of the 350z. the trunk is way too small.

you can however purchase the touring version of the 350z. it does have a bigger trunk space, longer wheel bae and back seats. its about $8000 more on the base price, but well worth it for the extra room. plus it comes with navigation system.

You cant use the Nismo front lip spoiler on the 06 models. If you seen the 06 Nismo Z it uses the whole kit except the front bumper/lip. It really looks akward and doesnt flow very well without it.

Thats the supidest thing I have ever heard. The base has a smaller trunk? And the touring with back seats? LOL!! All Z's have the same wheelbase and the same trunk space and always 2 SEATS!! All the Z's ever since the original 240Z came with 2 seats and some offered a 2by2 like the previous gen 300ZX. LMAO do your research before you post something like that. What a moron. .

Thinking the samething. The option for the front is not available on www.nissanusa.com for 2006 model, but my dealer says it's possible. I order for the full kit to be install. I'll know for sure by Friday.

I bet bleh350z is bruce350z. Sadly both of the accounts got banned. I kinda feel bad for the kid, atleast he shows that he wants a 350z.

hey, I'm in richmond hill also

no you can't fit all your tires in the Z, i doubt you can put one in the trunk. I had to get my gf to go with me when I changed to my snows.

I had also thought of getting the tire pressure monitor on the winter but after doing some research it was way too expensive and too much trouble to do something like that.

It is possible to fit all 4 stock wheels + tires + passenger into the Z. Just not with the hatch closed.. with the hatch closed you might be able to fit all 4 but no passenger for sure... Maybe stack 3 wheels infront and 1 in trunk... I have some pics of me with all 4 wheels and passenger on my phone, if anyone wants to see how funny it looks, just ask and ill upload em. .

2. I called several dealers about this recently. Some didn't know what I was talking about, but two did, and they both quoted me around $62.
