Default Trying to buy a z!!!!!

Well, about 4 mos. ago I talked to a dearler here in austin( southpoint internet sales person)
I told him I was going to wait for the 06's to come in. So they finally come in and I give him call back. Turns out he doesn't work there anymore, but he gives me a person to call that still works there. We play phone tag. I finally talk to him and I tell him what I am looking for. He tells me the computer system is down and he will call me back in 1 hr.

In the meantime I looked at other dealerships in the austin area ( internet). I request a info at another dealership. I get a # to call a sales person. leave message. He gets a hold of me and I tell him what I am looking for. Tells me he going to check what he has and if they dont have it he will check and see when he will get it in.
the same time I requested info from another dealership. (25 miles south of austin

I thought cool I will have 2 dealerships fighting for my business. maybe 3

Thought wrong. None of them call me back that day (nov. 9th)

the second guy finally calls a couple of days later. leaves mes.

Nissan finally e-mails me a week later asking if the dealership contacted me (the one that is 25 miles from me)
I tell them no and that i would still like to contact me.

3 days later still no contact.
I figured they would try to get me up to the dealership to sell me, but i guess i am wrong. they don't want to make money

sorry for the rant and if it is hard to understand. just upset

That is strange. What you might try doing instead is going to a website like Edmunds.com and get quotes that way. You can cover a bunch of dealers at once.

Not unusual to me. My experience with dealers is if your not standing in their lot they aren't interested.

When I started a local internet dept here in Orlando 01/04, the segment was asleep concerning that business. Now most stores in the area do about 15-25% Internet business. My store doesnt even have many 06's, we got our first allocation delivered a couple of weeks ago and are low on them already.

Or maybe more interested in someone sitting across the desk who is ready to buy.

I don't get it.
I told them exactlyl what I was looking for. I guess they don't want to make $$. The edmunds is how I found the first dealership a few mos. back. the I decided I wanted to wait to get an 06.

im sure they know you are just phone shopping. take the time to go to the dealer and become friends. Then tell them YOU'LL call them back, or come back, when you "talk it over with your wife". Then you leave to the next dealer, try to beat the price and go from there.

You get better prices going through the internet.

why lie? Sounds like you don't know how to deal like a man and have to lie to negotiate.

For mhip....call the dealership, ask for the sales manager and tell him what happened. Ignoring internet inquiries is a big mistake these days.

Oh because they're so honest with you. What difference does it make, he gets paid, you get the car. After that you'll never think of it again.

Have you had a chance to set face-to-face with a salesperson, and make an offer on a 350Z?

Thanks for relying. It looks like you’ll have to wait until your car is paid for. Its difficult to be patient but I believe that it will be worthwhile in the long run.
