Default ATTN: To those who financed their Z's...I'm putting 15k down

If I am putting 15k down on a 2004 for around 22k and I want to finance the rest for a 2 year period, how much would my monthly payments approximately be? Thanks

If you're financing $7,000 over two years and get a good used car rate (call it 6.5%) you're monthly payments would be about $312.

if its 22K out the door your payments would be $312, but if its 22K + taxes then you could look to finance $9,420 and payments would be $420.

Add $2,420 for taxes or 11% of the list price

ahhh sorry. I never came back here b/c I didnt get the email notification that I got more responses.

No...I tried the "dont be afraid to walk away" method and it didnt work. I offered 20k on a 2004.5 enthusiast 6mt..they were asking 23k and said no. They haven't called me back since...

Don't worry about it dude. If dealer doesn't budge, that doesn't mean you got to!

One thing you should know is that you will get a better shot at getting a good deal if a dealer has a lot of the same car. So if you went to a dealer that has a lot of used Z vs. a dealer with one used Z...you will be better off bargaining at the dealer with more Zs.

No problem.

Dealers know what a car you sell for. They are not apt to let it go for $20,000 if they are reasonably certain that it will bring $23. This is just not the 350Z for you. The right one will come along. Patience.
