Default Thinking of joining the family

Well, some of you know that I roll deep in a 240sx, however after seeing so many beautiful Zs and G35s, I just can't help but want one.
I'd be looking at a used one in either Red, white, blue, possibly another color haven't fully decided yet.

My question was have there been any regrets with getting your Zs or G35s?
I'm looking at a base model however, all I want are the HIDs, just about everything else I plan on going aftermarket with.

Just looking for some feedback.

From a 240SX to a 350Z I don't think that you will give up anything in the way of comfort and room. The Base is the least popular model and may be difficult to locate.

I bought a 06 base model. I couldn’t be happier with it. If you want the base model and want HIDs I think it’ll have to be a 05 or later model, unless you want to upgrade your car with aftermarket HIDs later. Good luck finding the car, you won’t be disappointed. I have almost 700 miles on mine in 10 days!. I just love driving it!

Well, my family has had a history of Zs. Dad has an original Datsun 240Z in mint shape, hes the original owner.
My mom had a 300zx 2+2 with basic bolt ons and suspension for autoX.
Hell my very first car was a 1983 280zx turbo, so I guess you can say I'm ready to rejoin the Z family.

Any word on whats going with the GTR? Is it going to be under Nissan or Infinity badges? Last I read it was going under Nissan. Wonder how much those will be

Correction..if you want HID and base, you can only do it in the '06 trims. Previous years don't get HID for the base trim.

Question

Have you test driven the 350Z? What are your impressions?

so if its the LEAST popular model, how does that make it hard to find? leat popular=not a lot of people want it... not a lot of people want it=extra for sale

That works if there was the same quantity made in that trim, but if it's less popular, that likely isn't the case. What is more likely is that less were sold, made, and ordered from a dealer new, which has en effect on preowned availability.

A Porsche is less popular than a Toyota. There are 1,000 Toyotas on the road for every Porsche. The Porsche is more difficult to find than a Toyota. Pretty simple.

Totally bringing a thread back from the dead, forgot I even made this post.
But I did end up picking up a track model Z. With school, and work it took me awhile, but finally found one.
