Default buying a 350z please help!

hey everyone im new to this forum and i just have a couple questions. as the title states im buying a 2006 350z 6speed. it has 57,000 miles on it. im trading my 06 acura tl 6speed for this car. im looking for something more sport. the car look in great condition only 2 owners no accidents for $18,900. i got it down to $16,500. i think its a fair price. my questions are is what should i look for in buying this car. is there anything specific i should look at? also how reliable are the cars, ive never own a nissan before and this car will be my daily driver, i dont push the car i just leave it stock. maybe nice rims but nothing done to the engine. please any input will be appreciated.

thanks.

So basically after reading that link, I shouldn't even buy this car. Correct me if I'm wrong

The data is there for you to interpret. What you buy or do not buy is your decision.

You're wrong. Some 2006 RevUp engines had oil consumption issues. I've got a 2006 I bought a few years ago with 20k miles for $20k. No oil consumption problems at all. It has been a great car and I've put 30k miles on it since I bought it.

Always curious when members make similar statements. How do you "get the seller down" when you do not have the car? And if you did offer $16,500, and the seller accepted, why don't you have the car?

Hey man....I think 16,500 is a little steep for that. I just got 07 a few months ago w/30,000 miles for $18,700....I'm up in CT and I went down to philly to get it. Car is very clean, no accidents, no problems......
As far as the oil consumption issues every car is different. I know a few with 06's that do consume oil and others that don't.

I came in the day to negotiate te price only. And after I told him I'm trading my car in. Now this weekend I'm getting my car appraisal and well see where it goes from there

Buy it...great car.
I've had my 03...bought new..for?...what 8 years..no problems.
On the price, this will differ by parts of the country.I would not take too much stock on what someone would say from an area far from where you live.
Put some new rims/19's on that baby...maybe a lip spoiler...enjoy!

One of the reasons I'm trading it in it's because it has a serious leak issue. Inside the fuse box everytime it rains. The Acura dealer wants $150 an hour to find the leak that can take 12 hours to find.

Reason I ask is because the seller can always say

I got an offer for the car. You will have to go $17,500.
