I've owned 2 other Nissans' and have been real happy with them. Was at a dealer looking at what's new for this year. The Z caught my eye and took it out for a ride. Well, long story short, really liked the car. Talked some numbers with the store manager and was just curious what others thought.

We talked 36 month lease, no money down. We have a trade which is even money on the trade but $21,900 trade - tax savings of $1,533 so really helps on the lease. Dealer quoted $549/mo through Nissan.

thats pretty expensive. U can buy the car at that rate, in 4 yrs. You can definatley get the price lowered some. Even though its an 06 ive seen people get an enth for 28500 or even a 27500 so far. I got mine for 28500 out the door, but its an 05

I don't get your pricing - $28500 is under invoice (invoice is $29,200) and then that still doesn't factor in state tax (approx $700). My quotes are no money down, all tax, fees, plates and whatever else the dealer tosses into the mix is included in my payments. Just browsed through the messages and I don't see anyone really buying UNDER invoice on the 06.

I really don't get your lease vs. buy comment - that you can buy it for about same $$ in 4 years. 4 year payment on $30K is $702/mo (5.8% rate). At the end of 3 years I'd still owe $8,500 on the last year of the loan. With $153 a month in my pocket that's $5,500 I still have in my pocket. Then playing the numbers, factor in I can then invest the $153/mo that's roughly $500 over the 3 years I'd earn on my money. Est of 50% value after 3 years, the car is worth $15,000, so lease is about $500 difference, not huge difference between the two. If car is worth more than $15K I still benefit as I can sell or trade it and get the market. Paying $500 more vs. loan for downside protection is something I can live with.

What I'm more curious about is if anyone has seen any sweeter deals on a 06 lease. The money rate isn't that great for the 350Z and 50% residual hurts the payment too. I'm told Nissan sets the residual factor so any other options? So any one know of any place that has better money rate and residuals being offered on the 350Z other than dealing with Nissan?

549 is a lot....maybe more like 400 +/- and I'd consider it. I try to stay away from leasing altogether.....

they must love you there cuz you are paying what ever they offer you. cut the price down to invoice or less. and they'll hate you for it.
