Looks pretty good I just picked up an 03 w/ 23K miles, leather, for just a bit less, but it was a deal I just could not pass up. This looks like a good one too, here in Vegas.
Did you buy it?

Haa, yeah your probably right. If everything checks out, she's mine. The current owner is doing the fuel filler recall and I'm having him check on the sensor recall as well. I'm hoping tire feathering is not an issue. By the way, I saw pics of your car, looks nice. I'll keep an eye out for it on the 215

Thanks geomark, mine is in the shop getting the fuel filler recall, two new front tires and the alignment done, thanks to the info here on the site. I'm glad you reminded me about the sensor recall I forgot to ask about that one.
I took it to Douglas Nissan and am working with a service adviser named Floyd Dodson, he seems to be a really good guy to work with and from past experiences they are hard to find.
Good luck tomorrow.

Right on Salvo. I almost bought a 06 Track Model from Douglas Nissan. I test drove that and an Enthusiast but walked away when they wouldn't go down on the price. I didn't want to pay 37-38K for a Z! Although they are worth it.

Hopefully I can get this 03 Enthusiast -- I'll let you guys know what happens!

I don't want to jack your thread, but I have to post this and see what others think too.

I dropped 32k on my 06 Track. I got it used w/ only 10k miles. Heated leather, 7 speaker bose w/ 10" sub, etc, etc. Only thing I think I do not have is the Nav and the heated mirrors.

Good or Bad? I've been stressing that I only broke even on this one, even though a 05 w/ 10k kbb'd for 32k.

And as for the 03 E. I sure hope you get it man! Keep us posted.

Well let me just say that when I was about to buy the 06 Track, they wanted 37,200 + they wanted to add 3% on top of that because of how "rare" they are. I didn't buy it - the story or the car that is.

But, man was that car niiice...

I'd say I am pretty sure. Hell... I might have a GT who knows. I figured you can special order just about anything and I am pretty sure the paper work at the house lists it as a 06 Track. I'll double check that. I also have the VIN if anyone knows how to tell from there.

So I guess I did ok?

Well, I am still working on getting the 03 enthusiast. I just found out that the basic warranty is expired. I am having the owner do the recall for the fuel filler and having the tires checked.

Strange thing is, the dealer knew nothing about the other recall on this car. The one for the sensors. Has anyone had the sensor recall done or know about it at all??

BTW, I have a carfax for 30 days if any1 needs it!!

Not to Hijack the this thread but I have been wanting a Z for a while and found one for $24k. It's an 03 Track Model with 19k miles. Do you think that's a pretty good deal? Thanks for any input.

geomark, I asked about the sensor recall today when I picked up my Z , Floyd said mine was not affected, but I’m not to sure if Floyd knew about it. I need to find that link again and check the Vin # spread and go from there.
I can not believe what a difference a little tire feathering can make. A set of new front tires and an alignment talk about smooth, this baby’s on rails!!

richmusch, thats some pretty low miles, if it's cherry and you got to have it, then the price is right.

I guess my Service Advisor "Floyd" really is as great. My Vin # is higher than the affected range.

2003 350Z Engine Sensors
Applies to 2003 350Z with the following Vehicle Identification Number range:
JN1AZ*4**3T 000001 - 100167

Wow. Your 03 Z is above the 100167 range? The one I want is in the 014000 range unfortunately. I don't know yet if that will affect my decision to buy it. It sounds like a pretty serious issue, car shutting off or not starting. I will have to give it some thought. It's just really hard finding a deal like this around the 20K range! There is one in an LA CarMax, real nice. silverstone w/the brown leather, bose, touring for 25K + the $150 delivery fee. Hmmm.

MAN, if you only knew the story. I have been looking since January. A couple of times I almost bought other cars. I have test driven the rx8, audi TT, mustang gt, s2000 and a few others. But, I always come back to the Z. After I drove the Z, nothing else compared. I am pretty set on one now, just gotta find the right one. Thanks AcidSkie, I'll find one.
