Hi there, I am trying to look for 350z. is there any recommendations to what years to avoid or the known problems? i tried the search function and the only thing i seemed to have found was the tranny problem. my budget is around 23K and under. All I care of mainly is color and 6 speed. any idea what I should be looking to pay in Southern California? thanks

 

I would suggest you search a little harder before the braveheart crew comes out. In Sept '05 I paid for a used '05 with 2300 miles on it for 25,600. You probably can find a late model 04 or 05 with low miles on it in your price range.

Problems include:
Tranny problems in 03-04
Tire Feathering 03-04
Window motor problems
Rear axle click
etc..

Your best bet would be to read up a bit more on these forums, you'll get any answer you're looking for if you do a little more research.

Get one that is late-model year 2004 (also known as 2004.5) or 2005.

If you want to get one for a good price steer clear of the dealers. Dealers rape you on 1-2 year old used cars, they cost almost as much as new.

 

yeh it seems like you can get brand new base models for really cheap right now...how close to invoice or getting under invoice right now in socal? thanks

500 over invoice for my 05. I thought it was a great deal.

 

I just inquired on the costco auto deal. We will see how that works out! I will pay 500 over invoice, that should be about 27600 for an 06 Enthusiast.
