Default My350Z Newb!! Question: Ordering 350Z Invoice v. MSRP cost?

I am new to my350Z, and wanted to introduce myself as well as get some advice on ordering a 350Z

First: Hey there,

Second: I am looking to order a 07 350Z Grand Touring, mt, as far as color, would prefer silver, but the silverstone/orange leather combo is sharp...so that is a non-issue.

What I need is advice on ordering a car, if anyone out there has done it. I've owned several new cars, dealt with the dealership and realize that the MSRP and the Invoice are quite a bit apart. But what amount over invoice will the dealership customarily charge in this instance?

Also any So. Cal 350Z owners out there, have any of you dealt with the Thousand Oaks Nissan Dealership? Any issues/feedback?

Hello ManicZ, welcome to the forum! I can't help you with the ordering part, as I found exactly what I wanted "on the lot" at a local dealership. I would like to point you to the So. Cal regional forum (if yoiu haven't found it already) where all your local Z owners can give you the inside scoop on the local dealerships, etc.

Here you go!

1. 07s are not out yet.

2. If they have to order, especially once they first come out, I would look at paying close to MSRP. It would be about 1-2000 over invoice.

I've been reading this site for the past few weeks, a ton of info.

I've noticed the delay with the 07's getting pushed back to January, wondering what is the thought process behind that, read the specs on the new engine and hood design and all.

I took a 06 Silverstone Roadster for a spin a few weeks back, fell in love with the 350Z on site. And I've been reading the issues with the vert top and notice that as I live in so. cal. that I may have some use for it, but am gonna go coupe. Other then that I am trying to get as much infromation from this site, get to know all you folks...so don't mind me.

Well I will be asking a helluva lot of questions, and thanks....and YES I will post pics when I get it!!

hey and welcome to the z forum. yeah so i just joined a few months ago. i am about to buy my 07 350z enthusiast w/side airbags. im getting mine for 500 below invoice. heres how i did it not sure if it will work as well as for you because of the model your getting. the short story is i wanted an 06 ppw enthusiast with side airbags but they didnt have any. so i tried ordering one and they messed up my order so they had to honor my price for the 07. They messed up but i also learned alot about the car business. First things first if your a costco customer get in touch with costco. they can get you a dealership that gets you at invoice or a little above. Second talk to the sales managers at the dealerships not the salesman. Third play off all the dealerships until you get a price that you find acceptable. this might be a little mean but eh its your money.

That is some good advice, will use it, the Costco thing, does that require financing with them, or just part of the membership?

Hey I just got my Z a few days ago and I will be more than happy to tell you how I got it and for the price I got it at, You can see below what the car is but I will also tell you that I am not gonna type how I got it on here because it will take too long to explain. The price I got it at was a little more 2000 below invoice. PM me with your phone number and I will call and tell you how I did it as soon as I get your message. Same goes with any other forum members.
