Default Help on deciding to buy a Z

Okay I am in a market for a new car for my fiance. I made up my mind on a Z since thats what she's been dreaming about since it came out but I'm not stupid enough to spend over the value of the car.

I seriously want a Touring model. I dont need a new year since 03-05 is nearly the damn same. I found a 03 Toruing with Navi at a dealership. They posting some stupid value or $24,995. Then I found a PRIVATE seller selling a Daytona Blue 350Z Enthuziest for $18,500. Yes sadly both are AUTO since she cant drive a stick. But oh well....here is the link for the 2003 Touring.

2003 350Z Toruing w/ Navi

What do you guys think? Touring or Enthuziest? What's the REAL value I should be getting that 03 Toruing for? I know $25K isnt the real price but how much (realistically) can I get them to lower it to?

I would go ahead and buy her a touring model. It has more of the womanly (if thats the best way to describe it) features in it. And if you live in a cooler climate and she gets cold often, then the tourings heated seats will make her all the more happy. Also, thank whatever god it is that you pray to that she doesnt want the convertible (saves you money, and makes her happy).

One more thing, the dealership car's price is based off of how many miles the thing has. I know because I used to sell cars, and now sell motorcycles. And from experience, its all about the miles. If the miles are over 20ish thousand miles then I would cut that price about 3,000. That would be a fair dealership pirce, since they have to make some kind of money on the deal. That and the best thing you can do is to walk into that dealership with the mindset of "there are other cars." You seem to have a grasp of that,so you should be fine.

Good Luck with your purchase.

For current prices check KBB. Visit the seller with cash, and offer book-$1,000. Money talks.

See I checked blue book and I dont want to spend anywhere that price. For a Z with around 51K i wouldnt spend anywhere near 24K for that car. 19K is probably max, 20K would be if they toss me a really nice APR rate
