Default Help with pricing and availability questions

Ok, so im definitely looking to buy something within the next couple months. I'm in southern CT and it's still winter, so im keeping my WRX until the snow's definitely gone and the weather gets nicer.

Anyways, im looking to purchase either a 2007 350z touring coupe or a 2007 G35 coupe. I'm leaning towards the Z, but I can't know for sure until I test drive both. I just need some help and opinions before I start really looking and going to dealerships.

The first thing that i'm concerned with is finding the exact model that I want. For the Z, it has to be black and it has to be the touring model. I don't think that the dealerships around me would have large selections of Z's since it's winter and all it business can not be good for those cars, so how long do you think i'd have to wait if i had the dealer order one? Do you think i'd have to have the dealership order me one? Do you think it would be hard to find a dealer who has that exact model?

The same goes for the G35... it has to be black and pretty much the base model is all i need. Should i start looking now if its going to take a couple months to order or they should be pretty much available?

I'm also wondering what I should pay. I priced what I was looking for and the Z - MSRP is $34,435 and invoice is $31,791. For the G35 - MSRP is $35,300 and invoice is $32,487. These prices include the $700 destination charge (from edmunds.com). What is the best price that I can get and what's the most I should pay.

Thanks a lot for the help and if anyone can give me any more advice, i'd definitely appreciate it. Thanks.

Order exactly what you want now.

I priced what I was looking for and the Z - MSRP is $34,435 and invoice is $31,791.

Offer $32,712.

For the G35 - MSRP is $35,300 and invoice is $32,487.

Offer $33,535

When you place you order get a contract showing the exact car with options and the cost. Happy shopping.

Thanks David, I was waiting for a response from you. I definitely made sure to post that msrp lol.

Do you think these prices will stil be good in about 2 months (when some better weather comes)? Also, if that's what I offer, what do you think is the absolute most I should pay? I don't think they'll give me what i offer.

Thanks

LOL. I LOVE the MSRP.

You are going to have to play it by ear. Some dealers in some areas push for the MSRP, and would just as soon let the car sit on the lot than sell it. Other dealers with a big inventory and high turnover will cut you a deal.

Your best weapon is to know the prices, and make an offer.

Question

So did you make an offer for either of the cars?
