I joined the site a couple months or so ago to read up on the z, and I think that the z i want has come my way. I just want to get some input on it, whether you think its a good deal or not,and what to look for besides the basics.

Ok, so here is what I know. And what I have talked to the guy about.

Its a 2006 Lemans Sunset
6 speed
6,500 miles
enthusiast trim
no accidents, or defects
said there was no oil consumption, but who knows
Original owner, non smoker

Car looks like its in new shape, besides a small scuff on the front bumper. Not bad at all. I offered 23.5k. And he seems to be ok with it, hes going to run it by the wife first, but he thinks its a fair price. What do you guys think? Should I jump on it if he accepts?

So if he accepts at that price is it not a really good deal? Kbb says about 25K for the car. But your right, if it really dosent have oil consumption then I suppose that it would be ok. Since I think that we might end up meeting half way somewhere, maybe Ill check his oil when he gets there and see if its low from the drive. He told me that he only changed the oil twice, would that not be enough to notice?

 

This is "exaaactly" what I've been hunting for. Daaamn man...that's the best color on a Z. Plus it is Enth. Plus Low Miles. Decent price. Avoid the guess work, get it checked by the mechanic, maybe drive around a little and go for it.

Can't really comment bout the condition of the car, but assuming everythings well, 23.5 is a fair price.

 

well I talked with the guy and he is going to sell it to me for 23k. I have to pay shipping and tax/title. Now, I asked alot about the oil consumption and it seems like the car dosent have it. He took pictures of the vin and build date and the car was built on 5/10. So hopefully I want have any oil consuming issues. But other than that we are still trying to figure out how we are going to make the transaction. Have any of you had a person to person car sale? He is in SC and im in FL, but how do you send money and know that your going to get the car? Any help would sure be appriciated. I hope to join the z community shortly!
