Default 2005 touring price

I am about to spend 26k and change on an 2005 touring with factory navigation. It has 6k miles on it. Does this seem like a decent price?

I think you can go lower. You can get an overstock 06 for that.

I thought about an 06 but with everthing I have read the 05 seems like a more reliable car without the oil problems and such. The other thing is this car only has 6k miles so it is pretty dang new.

I think you should aim low and start from there. Tell you'd give them 24k right away for it and see what they say. Tell them you can have a brand new 07 base with the VQ35HR for $28k - despite it being a base the engine makes the car.

I already tried to get it down the last couple of days I offered 24,500 the first time and 25,500 another they are set on the price and wont move it. So at 26,700 am I getting ripped off?

I personally think it is high, yes. After 2 years the car only depreciated 15%? On top of that there's a highly revised model with a new engine. Good luck with whatever choice you make, I think that it is a little high.

I dont think it is high at all....I have an 04 and it had 30k and cost me 26. Sounds like a great deal as long as it has a good history

Sounds like a heck of a deal to me.

Goooooooooooo buy it...asuming you've had it checked out by a mechanic you trust.

If you said someone was giving you the car, at least three people here would say you can do better.

Good luck, duder. Sometimes I feel like throwing in the towel and just picking up the next best Z I see without too much haggling.

What?!? This was minimally a $36,000 +/- MSRP car.

Sounds like a buy if you feel its condition is worth inheriting.

Since you made the second offer, they know you want the car and that’s why they are standing so strong for the price, make another offer and have them call you back, tell them you will buy the car with that offer. But if you really want that car then go for it since there is only 6K miles on it.

No it wasn't. A Touring with Auto cost $32k (34k with navi), and the market price for it was close to $30-32k. The 6spd Touring cost $33.5k, but could've been had for 31-32k. Only the Track and 35th Anniv. models were able to approach and pass the 36k mark.

With navi...hmmm, I guess the price isn't THAT bad then. But you should still consider this: cars with navi depreciate 3% faster.

On a side note I know the factor nav is expensive but is it a good system?
