just get know that the car has probably been raced since it has an intake so the tranny might be weak or something. You never know what the person did with it before hand.
I, myself, would never by a car that has driven by a teenager or that has performance modifications. I don't know one person that buys performance parts and not see what it can do.
oh yeah, and the price value of that car goes down A LOT if you ever tried to trade in or any type of resale since it has a rebuilt title.

As for the rebuilt title, you might not even be able to trade it in. Certain dealers might not even want to deal with rebuilt / salvaged cars.
Just a heads up.

Very true. I have actually dealt with a customer that he let us trade in his rebuilt 05 ford escape. We gave him 5k and he actually traded it in!! We then sold it at the auctionfor 10k because it's illegal to sell a rebuilt car at a major dealership on the lot.

As a rebuilt car its worth 1/2 of normal value , so $10k at most.

You can look under the kelly blue book and a 03 z performance or track edition with 100k miles is still worth 20k in excellent condition. 70k miles isn't that bad either. It would last much longer plus when the time comes, you have an excuse to build the motor.
Don't rush yourself when buying a car. Trust me, you will learn the hard way.

I'd rather take a Z with a clean title and 70k miles than a Z with a rebuilt title and 100 miles.

Now with that said I have a beater that I bought for $700 that runs great:
To me it worth $2500 or so but, it's 1/2 book is at $700 Salvaged. That's what a lawyer will tell you.

^ more miles but looks nice and has navi
There ya go, in Kentucky, 6spds.
Even if you don't like those, I'd say drive to another state and pick one up before dealing with a rebuilt title.
